Related Expenses

There are several required purchases necessary to start an FTC team. Some of these items, such as the reusable competition kit, are one-time costs. Others, including event registration fees, recur year after year. Below is a list of expenses that may be incurred during the 2010-2011 season. This list is applicable for an FTC team of up to 10 members.

  • Program Registration Fee: $275
  • Full FTC Competition Kit (including 1,200 parts and NXT Brick): $749 - additional kit options for returning FTC teams or graduating FLL teams are also available. 
  • Individual Event Registration Fee: $0-$300 (depending on local event organizer)
  • Team Travel Costs: $0-$500
  • Additional Parts (optional): $0-$300
  • Team Shirts (optional): $0-$150
