The FTC competition season kicks off in September with the release of the annual challenge. Qualifying Events are scheduled by regions and begin in October. Regional Championship Events are held from December through March with the finale to the season, the FTC World Championship, being hosted in April.

During the season, FIRST will host several Regional Qualifying Events and many Regional Championships across the nation. For a list of these happenings, visit http://www.usfirst.org and click on "Events" in the left navigation.

Only a select group of 100 FTC teams earn the honor of competing at the FTC World Championship. These teams come from all over the world and have either won a local competition or have received the Inspire Award, automatically advancing the team to the finale.
