Tax-Exempt Status

Sales tax will be added to all orders unless the organization is registered with Pitsco Education as tax exempt. Proof of your organization's tax-exempt status must be on file.

Most states require us to charge sales tax. If you are ordering on behalf of a tax-exempt organization:

  1. Place your order and when you get the Checkout screen, look to the Your Payment Information area.
  2. Click the box next to “This order should be exempt from state sales tax.” A Tax-Exempt Message will open, explaining that if this is the first time you’ve ordered, we will need your state tax-exempt certificate.
  3. Continue to submit your order.
  4. If you need to submit certification, send it to:

Payment must come from the exempted entity/location for the exemption certificate to be valid. Example, if a school is tax exempt, the school must pay for the purchase; a personal credit card could not be used with the school's tax exempt status. Using an improper payment method will cause the order to be taxed.

If you are charged tax, then fax, email, or mail a copy of your state sales tax exemption certificate or a completed
multi-state exemption certificate to us at:
